Why: Solstice Designs, the soulful love child of my good friends Sherry Duquet and Sandy Boulton, is devoted to creating jewelry that truly changes lives. Collections include "Gifts that Give", which donates a portion of each piece sold to women-centered organizations and "Pay It Forward", featuring easily affordable pieces (around $6) that "celebrate and encourage random acts of kindness". All of their designs beautifully express compassion and inner strength...they are touchingly thoughtful and treasurable too.
Sherry and Sandy give back in so many ways, including their fun and feisty blog Exploits of a Vegan Wannabe, their Project Mother's Day and Projects Produce and Nourish which benefit domestic abuse shelters, and their continuing commitment to teach and enlighten and inspire.
