Blocks and Wheels

Drive-By Press--On the Road
Joe Velazquez and Greg Nanney bring the press to the people by traveling the country with their vehicle-bound printing press, and teaching anyone and everyone the fine art of printing using their collection of hand-carved blocks. You get a cool freshly printed tee, and they get to spread the love for a centuries-old skill that screams our renegade spirit.

Designer on the Rise

Julia Knüpfer
Berlin, Germany
Julia Knüpfer has won the "Designer for Tomorrow" Award at Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Berlin 2009 for her intricately complex but richly compelling clothing designs. Truly sculptural in nature, each piece incorporates cosmic-organic dimensions and textures in thick sensuous knits. Sink yourself into their enveloping protective cocoons, or blaze your way with their flaring folds trailing behind you. Julia's designs embody a pleasingly instinctual balance between creativity and wearability. A graduate of the well-respected International Fashion School ESMOD Berlin, Julia's muse is just beginning stir as she rises to a well-deserved top designer status.
