Why: I admire the bold architectural style of Patty's work, as well as her beautifully accomplished technique. Her one-of-a-kind pieces are my favorite, often showcasing brilliant Boulder Opals and colorful Tourmalines set in striking high-karat gold designs that reinterpret ancient themes in a contemporary and totally wearable way. She regards each unique piece not just as jewelry, but as standalone sculpture, and on both counts she succeeds so well...these are collectible art pieces worthy of any gallery. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to find them hanging along with Chihuly glass and Henry Moore sculptures...she deserves it!
