my fave costume memory is my mom making me an indian costume. info at jorele dot com
Hey! I think my favorite costume as a child was a black cat outfit made by my aunty, and it was my favorite because my mother saved it for me for years, and then, when she got to be around the age I was back then, my daughter got to wear it, too! :) Happy Harvest Time!
fun giveaway, some of these pieces are beautiful!
my favorite costume as a kid, probably Raggedy Ann. my mom made them, my brother was Andy, it was pretty cute.
my favorite as an adult... in college I made a Travis Bickel (Taxi Driver!) costume, complete with the drawer pull gun up my sleeve! :)
Mrs.PineNut...just checked out your blog...superyumful stuff!
I used to squish my peas too. ;)
Nadine...aha! cats really do have nine lives, even the costumey ones! :)
Kristina...Bickle is brilliant! I love the gadgety gun idea. Someday you gotta post some pix. Cheers!
oooh. I once went as a dalmation and was awfully happy!
When I was about 10, I dressed up as David Bowie from The Labyrinth. I have many fond memories of that one. Another year, mom made me a pretty awesome Catra outfit.
crazy cool movie...I think it's time for a rerun of that one! I bet the costume got plenty of attention, especially the hair! ;)
I think Dalmatians should always be happy...or at least dotty. :)
My best Halloween costume was a compost bin. I won a prize for it! I love making my own costumes.

Pretty stuff! I particularly like that "Herbivore" necklace. I'm a pescetarian but I think I could pull it off. :)
I don't have a favorite costume. My mom did make some cool clown costumes for her and my dad, but I am definitely not a clown fan. I went as a hobo a few times (easy and cheap!) My favorite would have to be someone else's costume.. a friend in college built a little truck out of cardboard and made it into a recyling truck he could carry around like he was driving it. (As a bonus, it sort of fits the vegan/environmental theme!)
I don't do twitter of FB (and I'm still happy about that!) but I shall try to remember to include a note in my next blog post. :)
LOL...I love the compost bin! Lemon peels and orange skins and pineapple leaves would be colorful and fruity-scented. :)
We did hobos too as kids...lots of borrowing from grandpa's trunk old clothes. I loved his hats. :)
Many thanks!
My favorite costume was probably when I went as Cleopatra in...fifth grade, I think. I found these amazing snake bracelets at a thrift store, and my mom even let me dye my hair black! :)
I tweeted about the giveaway:

and I also posted about it on my Facebook (but I can't figure out how to find a link to that specific post...)
My best friend and I dressed up as the Nelson twins for Halloween one year. We even had guitars as props. Do you remember Nelson? Those hunky blond pop rockers from the 80's? Hahaa!
I always wanted snake bracelets like that...must have been an exotically cool costume! :)
I remember twins, sons of Ricky Nelson...? I had to check out their website...Gunnar does cooking shows now too!
Mentioned at my blog as promised - hope it brings you some visits!

Many thanks oh Shepherdess of the Slumbering Beasts!
Your Haunted Houses are screamingly cool! I'm so tempted to join the ATC groups just so I can trade a haunt or two. Nemo is outstanding! That was one of my favorite movies as a kid...I drew so many subs after that one. Cheers!
